Beauty masks for normal and dry skins

Sour Cream Mask

Sour cream (skin Softener, bleach)

That's all. Massage into skin and leave on for 20 minutes. Remove with warm water and follow with a splash of cold. (Plain yogurt can be substitute.)

Honey'n' Egg Mask

1 egg (protein, pulling power)
1 tbsp honey (pulling power, moisturizer)

Whip egg until thick. Add honey and whip until blended. Apply to face and let remain for 10 minutes. Remove with cool water. (Can be held in refrigerator and rewhipped at later date.)

Banana Mask

1 banana (moisturizer)
2 tbsp warm olive oil (deep penetrating moisturizer)

Mash banana and blend with oil until you have a spreadable paste. Apply to face and let remain for 20 minutes. Remove with warm water and follow with a splash of cold.

Wax pack

2 tbsp anhydrous lanolin (moisturizer)
1 tbsp beeswax (skin softener, pulling power)
1 tbsp spermaceti (skin softener, pulling power)

Rub lanolin onto face. (Avoid eye area.) Melt waxes together, let cool slightly and apply over lanolin base. Leave on for fifteen minutes and peel off or scrape off with butter knife. Rinse face with very warm water and remove rest of mask with hot, wet washcloth.

Rose Water and Glycerin Scrub

2 tbsp rose water (skin softener)
1 tbsp glycerin (lubricator)
3-4 tbsp pulverized oatmeal (protein, abrasive action)

Pulverize oatmeal in blender or mash fine. Add rose water and glycerin small amounts at a time, until a spreadable paste is formed. Apply to face and let remain for 20 minutes. Remove with warm water and splash with cold. When removing mask, use a “washing” motion to benefit from the abrasiveness of the oatmeal.

Deep Penetrating Hot Oil Mask
Especially wonderful for very dry or aging skins.

1/2 cup virgin olive oil (moisturizer)
1 square cheesecloth

Cut out a mask from cheesecloth to fit face, leaving holes for the eyes and mouth. Warm the olive oil and soak cloth in it. Wring out lightly and fit onto face. As cloth cools, dip again into warm oil and reapply. Repeat several times. Rinse oil off face with warm water and pat dry. A nice, dewy coating will remain to protect you.

Butter-Almond scrub

3-4 tbsp finely pulverized almonds (skin softener, protein, abrasive action)
2 tbsp margarine (moisturizer)

Pulverize almonds in blender or mash finely. Melt margarine and add in small amounts to almonds meal to form a spreadable paste. Apply to face and leave on for 20. Remove with warm water followed with a splash of cold. When removing mask use a “washing” motion to benefit from the abrasiveness of the almonds.

Avocado Mask

1/2 fresh avocado (protein, moisturizer)

Mash and heat over water until warm. Apply to face and let remain for 20 minutes. Remove with warm water and follow with a splash of cold.

Peach Mask

1 fresh, ripe peach (moisturizer)
2 tbsp peach kernel oil (moisturizer)

Pell peach and mash. Warm oil and blend into fruit until a spreadable paste is formed. Apply to face and let remain for 15 minutes. Remove with warm and then cool water.

Mayonnaise Mask

Mayonnaise (skin softener, moisturizer)

That's all. Rub it in and leave on as long as you like. Rinse with warmish water and pat dry.
