Beauty masks for aging skin

Beauty masks are even more important to aging skin because of severe dryness and dead-cell buildup. Therefore, your masks are designed to both moisturize and remove cells along with the usual benefits of a deep internal and external cleansing.

Deep Penetrating Hot Oil Mask

1/2 cup virgin olive oil (moisturizer)
1 square cheesecloth

Cut out a mask from the cheesecloth to fit your face, leaving holes for your eyes and mouth. Warm the olive oil and soak cloth in it. Wring out lightly and fit to face. As cloth cools, dip again into warm oil and reapply. Repeat several times. Rinse oil off your face with warm water and pat dry. A nice, dewy coating will remain to protect you.

Protein Scrub Mask

1 egg yolk (protein)
1 tbsp castor oil (moisturizer)
2 tbsp table salt (abrasive)
1 tsp lemon juice (works with oil to remove dead-cell layer, can be eliminated if skin is sensitive)

Mix all together and spread on face. Let remain for 20 minutes. Remove with warm water, but while doing so, use a washing motion (gently – salt is very abrasive) to benefit from the beauty grains of salt. Splash face with cool water and pat dry.

Oatmeal-Milk Scrub Mask

1/2 cup milk
Pulverized oatmeal

Pulverize oatmeal in blender (do not use instant type). Add to milk until a thick paste is formed. Spread on face and leave for 20 minutes. Remove with warm water and use a washing motion to gain benefit from the beauty grains of oatmeal. Splash face with cool water and pat dry.
