Witch hazel lotion

1 bottle witch hazel

That's all. Just use this refreshing liquid by itself as you would any other fancier lotion.


Glycerin and Rose Water Lotion

4 oz rose water
1/2-1 oz glycerin
1 oz witch hazel

Shake together in bottle. Refreshing and cool ..............



Barley Water Tonic

1/4 cup barley
1 qt water
1/2 cup witch hazel

In saucepan, bring barley and water to boil. Lower heat and simmer for about an hour. Strain until clear. When cool, add witch hazel, bottle and keep in refrigerator. When using, apply as usual and follow with a cold water rinse.



Orange Water Freshener

3 oz orange extract (for different scent, select different extract)
2 oz witch hazel
1/8 tsp alum

Shake together in bottle.



Gin and Tonic Freshener

1 oz good quality gin
3 oz rose water
3 oz witch hazel

Don't drink. Shake together in bottle instead. Normal skins may also use freshener for dry skin. See additional recipes under Dry Skin Freshener.
