Moisturizing creams for normal & dry skin
Coconut-Vitamin Liquid Moisturizer
1 oz coconut extract
4 tbsp coconut oil
1/2 tbsp coconut oil
1/2 tsp vitamin A & D oil
2 tsp cocoa butter
2 tsp anhydrous lanolin
1/4 tsp borax
Melt lanolin over low heat. Warm coconut oil, cocoa butter, lecithin, soy oil, and vitamin A & D oil (use in liquid form or pierce vitamin capsules and empty contents into measuring spoon) together, and beat into lanolin. Dissolve borax in warm extract and, pouring slowly, beat into mixture until cool and creamy (3 to 5 minutes). Put in bottle; this cream is light enough to go in a dispenser bottle. Makes over 4 oz.
Protein Moisturizing Cream
1 oz olive oil
2 tbsp anhydrous lanolin
1 egg yolk
1/4 tsp orange extract
1/2 liquid lecithin
Melt lanolin over low heat. Warm oil and lecithin and beat into lanolin until cool and creamy. Beat egg yolk and extract into cream until fluffy and put in jar. Definitely refrigerate. Make 4 oz.
Cucumber Moisturizing Cream
1 tbsp beeswax
2 oz soy oil
1/2 tsp liquid lecithin
1 tbsp cucumber juice
1 tbsp witch hazel
1/8 tsp borax
3 drops green food coloring
1/2 tsp liquid lecithin
Wash cucumber thoroughly and wipe dry. Squeeze or blend (with skin on) and strain about 1 oz juice. Heat briefly, do not boil, and set aside. Melt beeswax over low heat. Warm soy oil and lecithin and, pouring slowly, beat into wax. Heat 1 tbsp of the cucumber juice with the witch hazel and borax and, pouring slowly, beat into mixture until cool and creamy. Beat in food coloring. Makes 4 oz. Refrigerate.
Blended Oils Liquid Moisturizer
1 oz almond oil
1 oz avocado oil
1 oz sesame oil
1 oz wheat germ oil
1 tsp liquid lecithin
Heat all together gently and pour into bottle. You can substitute any oils you wish, of course, I have chosen these because they are ultrarich. If you would like to have a lovely fragrance, simply substitute scented oil in place of one of the oils. The moisturizer is especially wonderful for very dry or aging skin. (Also makes a great body lotion.) Makes 4 oz. Definitely refrigerate and shake before each use.
Vitamin A, D & E Cream with Lecithin
1 tbsp almond oil
1 tbsp avocado oil
1 tbsp wheat germ oil

1 tsp anhydrous lanolin
1 tsp cocoa butter
1 1/2 tsp liquid lecithin
1 tsp vitamin A
1 tsp vitamin D
1/8 tsp borax
3 oz rose water
Melt beeswax, spermaceti and lanolin over low heat. Melt cocoa butter and add to heated oils. Add lecithin to oils. Beat oil mixture into wax mixture until creamy. Heat rose water and borax and, pouring very slowly, beat into cream. Vitamin A and D capsules come in oil form. Pierce them with a pin, squeeze out the proper amount and stir into cream. Refrigerate. Makes 3 oz.
Cocoa Butter Moisturizing Cream
2 oz cocoa butter
1 1/2 oz peanut oil
1 tbsp beeswax
